Pierre Huyghe, born 1962, lives and works in Paris. He studied at "École superieur des arts décoratifs" in Paris and by now surely is one of the best known French artists. Over the last years Huyghe has been presenting his work in a great number of international exhibitions and in renowned museums, such as the 2001 Venice Biennial, representing France, the documenta 11 in 2002 and the Guggenheim Museum New York in 2003. Soon his complex installations, films, photographs and forays in the aesthetics of computer games, in which he analyses the cultural conditions of perception and processes of cognition will be shown in a major show at the Tate Modern in London.
