In his works, Wolfgang Tillmans, combines a documentation of the quotidian with a reflection on the medium photography – as it is also the case in his artist’s edition for „Texte zur Kunst“. The photograph of the constellation cassiopeia „in flight astro (ii)“, 2010, was taken at night from an airplane on transatlantic flight. It is impossible to differentiate between those bright spots depicting shining stars and those merely representing a surplus of date due to the editing of the image.
