Tim Eitel’s silk screen print depicts two uniformed US-policemen in front of two monochrome surfaces that evocate a landscape. The two men seem to be looking at actions outside the picture plane. The backdrop and foreground are connected by the shadows of the characters thus functioning as compositional elements. The cops themselves show no facial expressions and therefore resemble abstract figures, an effect which turns a scene from reality into a threatening scenario.
